We are excited to announce our latest workshop, "Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy: Treatment for PTSD".
Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) is a short-term, evidenced-based therapeutic approach that has been proven effective in the treatment of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. Benefiting from an integration of multiple therapeutic philosophies, clients who receive TF-CBT are better able to process thoughts and feelings related to traumatic experiences. This allows them to effectively address the impacts of trauma that underlie PTSD and other mental health issues such as anxiety and depressive disorders.
Workshop attendees will receive training on the core components of TF-CBT: psychoeducation, stress management, affect expression and modulation, cognitive coping, and creating the trauma narrative. Time will also be spent discussing Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and the topic "healing the inner child".
The workshop is free and open to the public.
For Mental Health Professionals:
6 CEU credits for the Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapist Board are available for a fee of $30.
A light breakfast and lunch will be provided at no cost.
Please call our office at (937) 667-4678 or email us if you have any questions.
