Attorney and mental
health counselor Michael Hochwalt, will be conducting this training. Because of his training and profession, Mr.
Hochwalt is an expert on the intersection of counseling and the law. He has an insightful, experienced, and practical perspective on the ethical and legal guidelines of the counseling
profession. We are incredibly blessed to host him at New Creation Counseling Center, and we are confident that his presentation will be invaluable to other mental health
professionals.
Workshop participants
will:
- Gain a better understanding of informed consent, duty to protect, and child abuse reporting laws
- Learn strategies when dealing with a subpoena versus court order
- Receive an update on the Ohio Ethical Standards
- Gain insight into the Counseling Board's process of dealing with potential violations
- Become alert to avoiding potential potholes before they become disciplinary violations
If you would like 3 Continuing Education Units from the Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapist Board,
the total cost of the workshop is $40.

$10.
