New Creation Counseling Center offers several types of testing that can be helpful to your counseling experience and personal growth. Many psychological tests will incur a fee, which will be explained by our business office. Test fees may or may not be covered by your health insurance plan.
Minnesota Multi-phasic Personality Inventory. This test will help your counselor get a better evaluation of your counseling needs and, together, you can set counseling goals based on your personality style. The MMPI may be administered by your counselor, but scoring and interpretation must be done by the staff psychologist. You will also meet with the staff psychologist for an interview during this process.
Substance Abuse Subtle Screening Inventory. This assessment, many times, is ordered by the court or probation department for persons on probation. It may also be used by a counselor as an evaluation method for clients with substance abuse issues. There is a fee for the SASSI test as well as a fee for a report written to an outside entity. Fees must be paid in full before a report is sent to the court/probation officer, school or work.
Other tests administered by your counselor at New Creation might include the following: (Note: These tests which require more than self-scoring or a separate report may incur a client charge. The business office will be able to talk directly to the clients about fees.)
Anger Disorders Scale (ADS)
Beck Depression Scale
Child Depression Inventory (CDI)
