New Creation Counseling Center was founded in 1993, and achieved 501(c)(3) status in 1995. The founding principle was to provide quality, affordable Christian counseling, education, and support groups to the community, regardless of ability to pay.
Currently, New Creation counselors, psychologists, and psychiatric team provide over 13000 sessions of counseling per year to more than 2000, with ages ranging from 5 - 100.
The Center offers individual, marital and family counseling to adults and children of all ages.
We are CARF accredited, and certified by the Ohio Dept. of Mental Health to provide Behavioral Health Counseling & Therapy; Behavioral Health Assessment; Pharmacological Management
We hold contracts with the Miami County Municipal Court, and Miami County Job & Family Services to provide services to clients whom they refer and subsequently pay for.
We provide professional training workshops for area counselors and social workers approximately 3 times per year
We bill clients directly for services, and we also are on a number of insurance panels such as Anthem, United Healthcare, Medical Mutual, etc. and several EAP programs. We provide services on a sliding fee scale based upon ability to pay based upon Federal Poverty Guidelines, and we are an approved Medicaid, CareSource, and Molina Health Care provider.
We have been averaging provision of Uncompensated Care in the range of $325,000/yr.
We are supported by Miami County United Way and Ginghamsburg Church as on-going funding bodies. In addition, we are part of the regular funding cycles of several foundations, including Miami County Foundation, Troy Foundation, CareSource Foundation and the Stouder Foundation.
We provide counseling for students of Upper Valley Career Center, Miami East School District, and Covington School District, and for this program we have received support from the Shelby County United Way, the Shelby County Foundation, and the UVCC Student Assistance Fund.
We are part of the Miami County Continuum of Care, along with many other human service agencies in the county. This group helps to coordinate innovative and efficient delivery of services in the county.
