Meet our Counseling Staff

...John Jung, is the director and clinical supervisor of New Creation Counseling Center as well as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. John holds a Master of Science degree in Counseling from Wright State University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Xavier University. John presents numerous workshops of continuing education for Leadership Troy, Edison State College, Sidney Chamber of Commerce and other organizations. He has 30 years of experience in administration of public mental health programs and sits on several boards for non-profit agencies.

...Kitty Kincaid, is the associate director of New Creation Counseling Center and an ordained minister and Licensed Social Worker. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Work from Wright State University, a Master of Gerontological Studies from Miami University and a Master of Theological Studies from Anderson University School of Theology. She has 30 years of experience in the helping professions including social work, teaching, human resources administration, pastoral work in a church setting, and pastoral counseling.

…Sherryl Beard is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and a Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor with 33 years of experience in behavioral health, including chemical dependency treatment, hospital settings, community mental health and private practice. Sherryl works with adults of all ages with a variety of problems including depression, anxiety, grief, chronic medical problems and pain and life transitions. She is a member of Concord United Methodist church in Englewood.

...Mark Cowley is a Licensed Professional Counselor and holds a Master of Arts degree in Counseling from Liberty University. He is a retired Air Force officer and is currently teaching Psychology and Sociology at Edison Community College. Mark specializes in compulsive behaviors and addictions and has been with New Creation for over 15 years.

…Vicky Kettering is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with a Master of Science degree in Marriage and Family Counseling from Wright State University. She has over eleven years experience working primarily with children and families as well as working with adults. Vicky specializes in parent training, trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, and play therapy. She is a member of the Ohio Counselor’s Association and St. Rita Catholic Church.

….Cathy Kooser is a Licensed Independent Social Worker with a Master of Social Work degree from University of Cincinnati. Cathy has experience working with the hard-of-hearing population in the areas of mental health, rehabilitation and case management. Cathy is a member of National Association of Social Workers and The Hearing Loss Association of America, among others. Cathy is actively involved as a lay pastor at Ginghamsburg Church, Fort McKinley campus.

….Stephanie Lamb is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor III. She holds a bachelor’s degree in addiction counseling and psychology from Indiana Wesleyan University and a masters degree in counseling from University of Dayton. Stephanie has over 10 years of experience working in the addiction field. In addition, Stephanie works with children and adults in general outpatient counseling. She is an active member of First Baptist Church of Vandalia.

....David Lauffenburger is a Licensed Psychologist who has been in practice in community mental health for over 35 years. He has vast experience working with adults, couples, families, children and adolescents. David attends Stillwater United Methodist Church in Vandalia.

....Jordan Lightner  is a case manager working in partnership with the Family Abuse Shelter for the prevention of homelessness in Miami County. He is in his final classes toward his Bachelor of Science degree at Cedarville University. He is affiliated with First Baptist Church in Vandalia and Ginghamsburg Church.

….Jared Mueller is a Licensed Social Worker with a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Wright State University and a masters degree in social work from The Ohio State University. Jared has worked with various populations including general outpatient counseling with children and adults as well as sex offender programs and juvenile detention programs. Jared is an active member and part of the pastoral staff at New Hope Community Church in Miamisburg.

….Vicki Russell  is a Licensed Social Worker with a bachelor’s degree in social work from Capital University and a masters of social work degree from The Ohio State University. She has experience working in mental health crisis care, and in working with children and families in a mental health setting. In addition, Vicki is employed in the human resources department at Riverside of Miami County, where she has been for 20 years. Vicki is an active member of and a lay pastor at Ginghamsburg Church.

…Kerry Stephens  is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with seven years experience in behavioral health. He holds a masters of counseling degree from Wright State University. Kerry has experience working with adolescents, adults, families and marriages in a variety of settings including in-patient, outpatient and community treatment programs. In addition, he has worked with couples, dual diagnoses, women's trauma, men’s issues, and anger management. He is trained in a variety of techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Guided Imagery. Kerry is actively involved as a member of First Baptist Church of Vandalia.   

…Jill White is a Licensed Social Worker with a Masters of Science degree in Mental Health counseling from the University of Dayton. Jill’s experience encompasses many aspects of marriage and family counseling including parenting, adoption, divorce, reconciliation, abuse, children’s issues and angry teens. She is also a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors.

….Steve White is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and a Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor with over 20 years experience. He has a Master of Science Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Wright State University. Steven works with adults on a vast number of issues including chemical dependency, adolescent issues, marriage counseling and individual therapy. He is a member of Transfiguration Catholic Church in West Milton.

….Deborah Zunke is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with over 24 years experience working in a community based counseling setting. She has a Bachelors of Social Work degree from Indiana State University, a Masters of Science in Counseling from Wright State University and attended Liberty University for her clinical counseling endorsement. Deborah specializes in childhood disorders, mood disorders, personality disorders, adolescent concerns, trauma, relationship needs and loss recovery. She is an active member of First Baptist Church of Vandalia
